TVNZ6 Multi media challenge

At the beginning of September our class entered in the TVNZ6 multi media challenge where you/your group create your own website about being financially safe for children beginning adulthood. We sent our entries in to the competition, but we did not win anything but one group from our class did make it to the finales and are going up to Auckland soon for the awards ceremony. House Sports Day

Inter Zone

2 Weeks ago there was inter Zone for hockey and we did not do to well. I was not able to play because i had concussion so i was water boy so i had to walk every where with the water bag it is really heavy. We lost our first game and then another 5 after that but in our last game we drew 1 all. Liam scored our only goal we did not play very well at all. hopefully we will be better at AIMS. We have been training every week for 2 hours and 15mins. wish us luck at AIMS

AIMS

This year Pukekohe Intermediate are attending the NZ AIMS sport tournament. We are going for many sports like Hockey, Netball, Soccer and many other fun and interesting sports. We are sending down 95 students from our school and in that group are the three time defending champions for hockey. Aims is held in Tauranga from Sunday the fifth of September till the tenth of September. We are taking down 10 teams which are, Hockey, Netball, Soccer, Gym sports, Cheer leading, Cross country, Rugby 7s, Golf, Tennis, and swimming. Aims started in 2004 with only 22 participating schools and are now hosting 88 schools. Aims is a sporting tournament that lets the best of the best compete to see what school or sport team is the best.
During AIMS all the schools go and have a little break from playing

ScienceFair

Last week i finished my science fair and it is on fiberglass insulation it is on a black science board because i thought that black goes well with every thing. What is fiberglass insulation? it is made of 80% recycled glass and 20% wool.

Hockey

Last week i trialed for the zone hockey team and i made it into the team today we have a training and next week on Monday we have the zone tournament. Hopefully i make it into the AIMS team

These are my goals for 2010 and how i am going to acheve them. I have nearly archeved 1 of them

Milo Cricket

On tuesday the milo cricket team went down to patumahoe sports domain and played for the milo cup. We played Manuraewa Intermediate we had a big total to chace down but we did it and now pukekohe Intermediate are counties winners for the second time in a row.

Zone cricket

Pukekohe Int won both year 7 and 8 cricket we are the best in counties

Sense-Lang Typing Test

Today i took another touch typing test and i got 2 words per minute.

Multiple Intelligences Test

Today I took a intelligence test and it tells you what you are good or smart at. I am good at naturlistic things like animals and plants.My second best one is picture smart whicth is getting information from pictures.

Sense-Lang Typing Test

Today I did another typing test and I have improved by 3 words per minute. The site that I did It on was Sense-Lang typing. I got 15 words per minutes.

Mathletics

Mathletics is a maths website that alot of primary schools use to get their students maths better. Mr Sweeney paid for our class accounts and if he didn't each child would have to pay $99.00 to get mathletics. You can win certificates gold, silver or bronze I have two bronze certificates. To get a certificate you have to get over 1000 points in a week.their are many activities on mathletics like measurement, number and algerbra. It also has a thing called mathleics live and the you can play other mathletes that are online and their are 5 different levels on live.
